Historical Renovation, Restoration and Rehabilitation

Our renovation experience spans more than 25 years.  We have a proven track record for the restoration, renovation, and rehabilitation of historical buildings.  PB ARCHITECTS has provided services that include planning, architecture, and interior design for fifty years to even one hundred year-old buildings, stand-alone Landmark Buildings, Historic Districts, and Historical Sites.

We have a detailed knowledge of non-reinforced masonry, concrete and wood frame buildings.  We have a complete background with State Energy Code compliance, code negotiations for Fire-Life-Safety, accessibility, type of construction, and seismic upgrades.  We have a thorough knowledge and compliance record for the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for the Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings. We have negotiated with Federal, State, County and City historic review boards.  We have the experience to minimize the unforeseen existing elements that occur in the sometimes hidden fabric of the building.

Our strong historical background is highlighted by a long list of satisfied clients covering diverse uses and types of buildings, numerous award winning projects and an expanding referral base.

Our background is punctuated with success.
